CFA Mom Loses 44% of Her Body Fat in 3 Months
My weight has been an issue for me, for my entire life. When I was active, it was easy to keep it under control. I’ve always has some muscle due to being an athlete and being short, so if I put on a few extra pounds – it’s easy to see. In the past, I’ve struggled with a negative body image of myself and have had some very unhealthy dieting and eating habits.
This year, I took a long hard look at myself and my habits I realized I had no choice but to fix myself. I could no longer use unhealthy habits to make myself healthy. I also had no one to blame but myself. I knew what I wanted and I could sit and wish for it, or go out there and make it happen. It was a hard thing to admit to myself, it was hard to take those first steps, but I am so glad that I did. Right now, I feel amazing, not only in my body, but mentally. This has been an incredible journey.
I tried the CFA nutrition challenge which started the process of me getting back on track, but when it was over I was looking for what to do next I knew I could not do it alone. I needed help and being someone who does a lot on her own and takes pride in that, I had to kick my ego aside and admit this was not one of those times.
I saw a post about the nutrition program and despite sometimes being hesitant to put money in to something like this, I knew Heather and knew she looked amazing. She has great work ethic with her fitness and you don’t get that way by slacking on your nutrition. I jumped on the opportunity, and it has been worth every dollar, and to be honest, I am saving money by not going out to eat a lot.
My coach has been amazing and I am so grateful for all the support she gives with the program. She pays attention, and is always willing and available when I have questions. It’s easy to adjust someone’s numbers and tell them good job each week, but it’s different with a coach who truly cares about your well-being and what’s going on in your life. It isn’t easy to change your lifestyle and admit you’re responsible for where you are with your health, and the process needs a coach who understands. It’s amazing to have someone in your corner cheering you on and celebrating your success, and that’s what I get with Heather. She knows it is not just about what you’re eating but where your mind is in the process.
I am so grateful I signed up. You just have to be willing to do it. It’s more than someone giving you your Macros, but information tailored to how you eat. I am looking forward to the second half of this program and really taking my fitness and health to the next level. I am willing to be coached and have learned to be honest with myself and with my coach. I no longer crave some of my go-to comfort foods. There is one comfort food I do crave, but it’s all about finding a balance.
I’d give this advice to anyone on the fence with their fitness and nutrition, put yourself and your health first. I will say it again and again. I am so grateful for the WAG programming and all it has taught me, and has yet to teach me.
