What a Great Day at CrossFit Amoskeag as over 100 members, friends and family were in attendance to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish NH Foundation, participate in a fun but challenging workout and celebrate the holidays and community.
We were honored to hear a few stories from MAWNH representatives including a young lady who has Cerebral Palsy and was granted a trip to Disney World and some background into the moving experience of our own Gene Brown. Gene’s journey has led to the development of the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party that many of us have experienced over the years.
Through entry fees, a very successful basket raffle and additional donations we were fortunate to raise over $5,600 which brings our 3-year total to over $10,000. Following the event, we celebrated the season with a delicious Pot Luck and the 3rd Annual Yankee Swap. It was a wonderfully fun and successful day and we are already looking forward to next year’s event.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported or spent your valuable time making this event happen. There is nothing quite like a community of like-minded athletes getting together for a good cause. And a special thank you to Mr. Warren Jennings for all he does for this great event and our community. His commitment and love are unrivaled.
And remember there is still over $1,000 up for donation if we sell enough raffle tickets for the 2nd and the only remaining copy of the ‘Men of CrossFit Amoskeag’ calendar.
